His Holiness Patriarch Mor Ignatius Aphrem II presided over the clergy meeting of the two Archdioceses of the USA at the 53rd Annual Convention held in California.
Their Eminences Mor Clemis Eugene Kaplan, Patriarchal Vicar for the Western USA, and Mor Dionysius John Kawak, Patriarchal Vicar for the Eastern USA, attended the meeting.
His Holiness opened the meeting with a spiritual word where he reminded the clergy that the man of God should be a model and an example for the faithful. He should teach them to love prayer and to be committed to the rules and laws of the Church.
His Holiness then answered the questions of the clergy and gave his guidance to help them through the different challenges of their pastoral ministry.
