The Life-long Dedicated Service and Retirement Celebration of Very Rev. Fr. Edward Hanna

On the occasion of life-long dedicated service and retirement of Very Rev. Fr. Edward Hanna, priest of Sts. Peter and Paul Church in Southfield – Michigan, His Holiness Patriarch Mor Ignatius Aphrem II attended the reception organized in the honor of Very Rev. Fr. Edward Hanna.

During the reception, His Holiness delivered a small speech in which he spoke about the great faith and complete trust in the Lord, reflected in Very Rev. Edward’s worship and ministry, whereby he served his flock for 30 years with devotion and self-sacrifice despite the long fight with illness.

His Holiness also honored Very Rev. Fr. Edward with a Syriac pectoral cross especially made from wood.
His Eminences Mor Dionysius John Kawak, Patriarchal Vicar for the Eastern USA, also spoke about the many virtues of Very Rev. Edward and thanked him for his ministry to the church and parishioners.
In turn, Very Rev. Fr. Edward thanked His Holiness and His Eminence, as well as his brothers priests and the parishioners he served and promised that he will always do his best to serve the Syriac Church.
