Mor Ephraim Cathedral’s First Family Gathering in Burbank, CA

From Friday, February 21st to Sunday February 23rd His Eminence Mor Dionysius John Kawak was invited to attend the First Family Gathering at the Mor Ephraim Cathedral in Burbank, California. During the gathering the lectures, recitals, and spiritual nights were conducted by His Eminence Mor Clemis Eugene Kaplan, Patriarchal Vicar of the Western Archdiocese in the United States, and His Eminence Mor Anthimos Jack Yakoub Patriarchal Vicar for Youth Affairs and Christian Education.  His Eminence Mor Dionysius John Kawak gave a lecture about “One body in Christ” on Saturday afternoon. On Sunday morning he participated in the Holy Liturgy with their Eminence’s where they ordained some new deacons to serve the Cathedral in Burbank, California.  In his sermon Archbishop Kawak spoke about all the faithful departed and why we pray for them he also spoke with the newly ordained Shamoshe about the criteria that they must achieve and work hard to be real servers for Christ in the church as Shamoshe. At the end of his sermon he thanked His Eminence Mor Clemis Eugene Kaplan for the invitation and the Cathedral Pastor Rev. Fr. Gabriel Hanna for all the hard work , time and effort he has put in to this beautiful gathering and experience.
