The Liturgical Committee of The Archdiocese of the Syriac Orthodox Church for the Eastern United States Releases Two More Books
Lectionary of the Book of Acts
This book contains the readings from the Book of Acts of the Holy Apostles (Praxis) for every Sunday and every Feast Day throughout the Liturgical Year of our Holy Syriac Church of Antioch. These readings are an integral part of our Holy Qurobo (Divine Liturgy). They convey to us God’s will and words through the deeds and sayings of the Holy Apostles. It is, therefore, very important that These readings are read before the Epistle of St. Paul and the Holy Gospel.
Lectionary of the Epistle Readings
This book contains texts of the readings taken from the Epistles of St. Paul the Apostle. They are read on Sundays and Feast Days, during the Holy Qurobo (Divine Liturgy), according to the ancient rites of our Holy Syriac Church of Antioch. Besides the Holy Gospels, St. Paul’s Epistles stand as a rich source and most faithful and authentic foundation for the growth of our faith and knowledge of the Lord and of the discernment of His will in our lives.
