On Friday, July 23, 2021, before the Suryoyo Summer Camp began with morning prayers and meditations, His Eminence Mor Dionysius John Kawak asked the children and gave them a chance to mention who they want to pray for and then followed with the prayers. The groups were split up and rotated between each activity. Abuna Andrew Bahhi taught the children our Syriac Church hymns in the Chapel of the Mor Aphrem Center by singing and chanting and explaining the translations of the hymns. While rotating in between activities, the children had Gym Time to exercise and play fun games and sports. They also had time to do Arts & Crafts. They then concluded at St. Mark’s Cathedral with closing prayers and worship songs in Aramaic.
