On Sunday, July 17, His Eminence Mor Dionysius John Kawak, Patriarchal Vicar for the archdiocese of Eastern United States, accompanied with His Grace Bishop Mor Maurice Amsih, Patriarchal Delegate for the Archdiocese of Al-Jazeerah and Euphrates, paid a pastoral visit to the Parish of Mother of God of Zunoro in Jacksonville, FL.
With the presence of His Eminence Joseph Habash, Archbishop of the Syriac Catholic Church, Rev. Father Rami Muamar and Rev. Father John Kouki, His Eminence John and His Grace Maurice celebrated the Holy Liturgy (Qurobo) during which they ordained deacons to the rank of Quroyo (Reader): Anthony Godi, Jonathan Godi, John Jodi, Tony Jodi, Jonath Khazal, Ryan Khazal, Justin Ghreir, Jason Ghreir, Richard Kassab, Salem Khazal, Brandon Khazal, Issa Jaber, Johnny jabber, and George Sabra. George Toukmehji to the rank of Afediakno (Sub-deacon).
Following the Holy Liturgy and ordination His Eminence, all the clergy and newly ordained deacons accepted congratulations from the parishioners.
