Reverend Priests, parish council members, parish organizations, and our spiritual children of the Syriac Orthodox Archdiocese of the Eastern United States,
May the blessing of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you.
We invite you to experience the jewel of our archdiocese and new home, the Mor Aphrem Center in Paramus, New Jersey.
By the grace of God, our vision of creating a new center for our beloved Syriac children in this blessed archdiocese was realized in 2007, when His Holiness Mor Ignatius Aphrem II and archdiocese board members finalized the purchase of the property at 55 W. Midland Avenue in the heart of our Syriac community in Northern New Jersey. Since then, our faithful people have worked tirelessly to make this dream a reality. On May 10, 2015, His Holiness consecrated the chapel and inaugurated the Mor Aphrem Center. We encourage you all to visit the Mor Aphrem Center to receive the fruits of your hard work.
The facilities are open and ready to receive you! The Center offers you the following services:
- Bible studies in English and Arabic for youth and adults;
- Morning and evening prayers during the week;
- Liturgy every Friday;
- Personal spiritual guidance;
- Youth activities, including spiritual education and social gatherings;
- Retreat facilities;
- Bedrooms for short or long term stays;
- Formal hall for spiritual or cultural activities; and
- Meeting rooms
The Mor Aphrem Center will be our source of education for the next generation of church leaders, deaconesses, deacons, and priests for the glory of God and the prosperity of His Holy Syriac Orthodox Church.
For further information or to make reservations, please contact Very Reverend Fr. Saliba Kassis at 617-955-9555 or via e-mail at [email protected].
All reservations require a confirmation e-mail from the Mor Aphrem Center administrators. We hope that you enjoy your stay!
May the peace of our Lord and the prayers of the Virgin Mary and all the saints be with you. Amen.
For the Glory of God,
Mor Dionysius Jean Kawak
Archbishop and Patriarchal Vicar of the Archdiocese of the Eastern USA
