On Sunday April 23, 2017, His Eminence Archbishop Mor Dionysius John Kawak, celebrated the Holy Liturgy (Qurobo) at St. Matthew Church in Boston, MA.
During the Holy Qurobo ,His Eminence ordained the following deacons (shamoshe):
Singers: Jacob Chammas, Elias Mukdissi, Elias Francis, Peter Alzaeem, Alexander Ghazi, Zachary Kano, Henry Kano, Elias Kano, Jacob Toukmaji and Fabian Chamo.
Readers: Nicolas Totonchy, Joseph Bahhaddy, Matthew Chammas, Anthony Khoory, Michael Mukdissi, Ayman Alzaeem and Matie Zaki.
Sub-Deacon: Samir Chamo, Joseph Hannawi, John Zavaro, Mario Sabha and Paul Raheb.
His Eminence was assisted by Rev. Father Anton Sabha (pastor of the church) and Very Rev. Father Saliba Kassis. In his sermon, His Eminence instructed the newly- ordained shamoshe about the real meaning of being a servant of the Holy Altar. He also thanked Father Anton for his commitment and good service at the church, then he offered congratulations to the deacons and to their families.
After the sermon, His Eminence offered a trophy to Mr. Louis Hadaya , as an appreciation for his lifetime dedication of service at St. Matthew’s church.
