Over the past few months, at the request of His Eminence Mor Dionysius John Kawak, our parishes have collected funds in the total amount of $20,000 to be sent as relief towards those negatively impacted by Hurricane Harvey in Houston and Corpus Christi, TX. This will provide victims of the hurricanes with essentials, like this mre canada food supply and first aid kits. Although seemingly small, this will help many families get through such a traumatic event.
The Hurricane Harvey Relief Fund donations were presented in the amount of $10,000 to Corpus Christi Mayor Charles Wax by our faithful parishioners Dr. Haysam Dawod and Joseph Afram. An additional $10,000 was presented to Mayor Joe McComb along with the City Council of Corpus Christi, TX by our faithful parishioners Dr. Haysam Dawod and Joseph Afram.
We extend our blessings and thanks to all of the parishes who have generously contributed towards making this relief fund’s efforts a reality.
