His Eminence Archbishop Mor Dionysius John Kawak paid a pastoral visit to St. Athanasius Church in Tampa, Florida from Monday, October 16th, 2017 until Monday, October 23rd, 2017. During his visit, he conducted a Bible study for the ladies of the parish and had a very important and constructive meeting with the youth. He also met the Sunday School children.
His Eminence was accompanied by Mr. Robert Ayaz, our Youth Director, who, along with His Eminence, joined in the youth activities for two days. On Sunday, October 22, 2017, His Eminence celebrated the Holy Liturgy and, during the celebration, he ordained the following deacons (shamoshe):

His Eminence was assisted by Rev. Father John Kouki (pastor of the church) in the presence of Rev. Father Eli Shabo. In his sermon, his Eminence thanked the parish priest, Rev. Father John, for his hard work training the deacons and presented him a pectoral cross.
