On Saturday, October 28th, 2017, His Eminence Archbishop Mor Dionysius John Kawak was accompanied by Mr. Robert Ayaz, the Youth Director, during his visit to St. Mary’s Church in Shrewsbury, MA. There, he was received by the pastor of the church, Very Rev. Fr. Maroutha Hanna and Rev. Fr. Antoin Sabha, and had a very successful meeting with the members of the parish council. Later, His Eminence, along with Robert, met with the youth of the three churches of New England – St. Ephraim Church of Central Falls, RI, St. Matthew’s Church of Boston, MA, and St. Mary’s of Shrewsbury, MA.
On Sunday, October 29th, 2017, His Eminence celebrated the Holy Liturgy for the three churches of New England where he gave a beautiful homily about love and unity. After the liturgy, St. Mary’s Church had a ceremonial lunch in honor of several graduates, whom are members of the New England churches. Dr. Yamo Daniz, the guest speaker, spoke beautiful words of encouragement to the graduates and their families emphasizing on the relationship of the youth with the church.
Lastly, His Eminence was accompanied by the clergy of the three churches to hand out the graduation certificates to the graduates.
