His Eminence Mor Dionysius John Kawak paid a pastoral visit to Sts. Peter and Paul Church in Southfield, MI from June 2nd, 2018 through June 7th, 2018. During his visit, His Eminence met with Rev. Fr. Imad Al-Banna, the Parish Council, and other Committees of the Church.
On Sunday, June 3rd, 2018, His Eminence celebrated the Holy Liturgy, assisted by Rev. Fr. Imad Al-Banna. After the liturgy, he was welcomed by the entire parish to the social hall of the church. Later, he celebrated the Holy Liturgy, assisted by Rev. Fr. Imad Al-Banna at the Guardian Angels Church in Clawson, MI followed by a family night with the parishioners. During the family night, His Eminence announced the establishment of a new parish in the East side of Michigan after the name of St. Matthew the Hermit.
On Tuesday, June 5th, 2018, His Eminence presided over Ramsho prayer for the youth of Sts. Peter and Paul Church followed by a spiritual event, started with the spiritual word and Q& A with His Eminence.
During his pastoral visit, His Eminence met with the congregation and visited families within the parish.
