On Sunday, October 6th, His Eminence Mor Dionysius John Kawak celebrated the holy liturgy at St. John bar Aphtonia parish in New Brunswick (formerly Cranbury). In his speech he spoke about “I desire mercy not sacrifice” from (Matthew 12:7), and then Archbishop Kawak mentioned and prayed foe the first clergy who served at this parish Mor Polycarpos Augin Aydin and the Late Rev. Fr. Eli Shabo. He also thanked the Episcopal hosts and mentioned how the Episcopal church welcomed the Suryoyo immigrants of the late 1800s and early 1900s. The Suryoyo group from Rutgers University was present. Over 70 people attended the liturgy.
