On Thursday, August 6th, 2020 His Eminence Mor Dionysius John Kawak celebrated the Holy Liturgy at Mor Gabriel Church in New Jersey, on the occasion of the Transfiguration of the Lord and Mor Gabriel’s Feast. His Eminence was assisted by Very Rev. Fr. Andrew Bahhi, Very Rev. Fr. Saliba Alkassis, and Very Rev. Augeen Alkhouri Nimat. He first congratulated everyone that carries the Saints name of Mor Gabriel. His Eminence then asked everyone to join and pray with him and all the clergy for Lebanon and that God heals the beautiful country Lebanon which in Suryoyo the heart of God. The sermon was given by Very Rev. Fr. Augeen Alkhouri Nimat, he spoke about when we come to the Holy Liturgy we have to focus on the Holy Altar and remember that God is always there and how we should not be distracted. He also spoke about how Saint Gabriel should be an example to us in our lives and that we should become saints in this world to gain the Heavenly Kingdom of God.
