On Saturday, August 28th until Sunday August 29th, 2021, His Eminence Mor Dionysius John Kawak paid a pastoral visit to St. Athanasius Parish in Tarpon Springs, Florida. His Eminence participated in the recognition party that was hosted and prepared by the parish in recognition of Mr. Simon Jallo and all those who worked tirelessly with him for the past thirty years. On Sunday His Eminence celebrated the Holy Liturgy assisted by Rev. Fr. Alan Shaltan the parish priest. He first thanked everyone for all their service in the church and then announced the new Parish Council. Archbishop Kawak then continued with his sermon and spoke about the parable of the wheat and the weeds in (Matthew 13:24-30) and reminded the faithful how to apply it in their daily lives.
