On Sunday December 19, 2021, His Eminence Mor Dionysius John Kawak assisted by Very Rev. Fr. Joseph Chamoun the Parish Priest and Rev. Fr. Gabriel Alkass, celebrated the Holy Qurobo at St. Mark’s Cathedral in Paramus, New Jersey. During the Qurobo, His Eminence ordained Gabriel Fermano, John Hanna, Stephen Mourad, Andrew Fermano, Gabriel Mourad, and Sebastian (Kenoro) Kiraz from the rank of Readers to the rank of Sub Deacons (Afidyakno). In his sermon, he spoke about the importance of serving the church as a deacon everyday by giving to the needy as well as visiting the sick to be a true disciple of Christ. He then congratulated the families and the deacons on their ordination.
