His Eminence Mor Dionysius John Kawak paid a Pastoral Visit to the Parish of St. Athanasius Church in Tarpon Springs Florida, from Friday, January 21st, until Monday, January 24, 2022. On Friday, His Eminence met with the Youth and Jr. Youth and conducted a Bible Study on the topic “With Jesus in the Boat” and read from the book of Matthew 8:23-27, he then opened the floor for a Q&A. On Sunday, January 23rd, 2022, His Eminence celebrated the Holy Liturgy at the Parish of St. Athanasius assisted by Rev. Fr. Alan Shaltan the Parish Priest. In his sermon he spoke about the visit of Nicodemus to Jesus, explaining to the faithful the importance of being born again and how to be renewed in a baptismal commitment throughout our daily lives. The reading was from (John 3:1-12). His Eminence then met with the Parish Council Members of St. Athanasius and blessed them and thanked them for all their hard work, commitment, and time they put into serving the Church.
