On Thursday, June 23, 2022, His Eminence Archbishop Mor Dionysius John Kawak attended the summer meeting of the Standing Conference of Oriental Orthodox Churches (SCOOCh).
The Standing Conference officially welcomed the new Primate of the Eastern Diocese of the Armenian Church, the Very Reverend Father Mesrop Parsamyan, and discussed a number of pressing matters, including its ongoing dialogues with the Eastern Orthodox and Roman Catholic Churches and the present state of affairs in the Eritrean Orthodox Church.
Other topics included the resumption of in-person activities (such as concelebrated liturgies, youth conferences, and other events) After the meeting, the attendees gathered for an agape meal.
