Rome Peace Conference “The Cry for Peace”
Upon the invitation of the community of Saint’Egidio, His Eminence Mor Dionysius John Kawak attended the Rome Peace Conference “The Cry for Peace” from October 23-25, 2022.
During the conference, His Eminence Archbishop Kawak participated on the panel entitled: “A Shared Easter date: No Longer a Dream, but a Necessity to Unite the World”. In his intervention His Eminence gave a historical background of the issue, then he spoke about the initiatives taken by our Holy Church of Antioch to celebrate Easter with all Churches. At the end of his intervention, he mentioned why we should celebrate together.
At the end of the conference, Pope Francis presided over the final ceremony.
