On Sunday, December 4, 2022 His Eminence Mor Dionysius John Kawak celebrated the Holy Liturgy assisted by Rev. Gabriel Alkass, at Church of the Virgin Mary in Paramus, New Jersey.
In his sermon he spoke about John the Baptist the forerunner of Jesus. His Eminence first asked the Sunday School children who attended the Holy Liturgy questions about John the Baptist.
1.) Who is John the Baptist?
2.) What was the main message of John the Baptist? What did he preach about?
3.) Who were his parents?
4.) What did he eat?
He also reminded them that John the Baptist teaches us to be courageous by speaking the truth, not to be shy or scared to say it. John the Baptist also teaches us about humbleness
He concluded by saying “We should be preaching always about our Lord Jesus Christ.”
