On Saturday, February 24th, 2023, the second day of the Archdiocesan Youth Leadership Assembly continued with two lectures the first one was led by Abuna Joel speaking to the Youth about leadership and how Christ takes the unqualified and makes them qualified enough to become a leader.
He mentioned that as we go through the trials and tribulations that are put in our lives, we need to make sure that we are constantly finding new ways and methods to reach our target audience.
He focused on how a leader should be someone who follows Christ first, because how can you lead people to the true love of Christ if you don’t know that love yourself.
The second lecture was led by Subdeacon Joseph Shammas, and he spoke about how we should be forgetting about our pride and focusing on keeping love in the leadership.
He reminded the Youth that the leaders should be good shepherds to their flock, and to try to lead them all in the right direction as the journey will be difficult but outcome is worth all the work.
