The Suryoyo Youth Gathering (SYG-USA) was hosted by St. Ephraim Cathedral in Burbank, California from July 13th-16th, 2023. This year’s theme was “From a Tiny Seed to a Great Harvest.” His Eminence Mor Dionysius John Kawak attended the SYG-USA along with one hundred and seventy Youth from around the Eastern Archdiocese to encounter Jesus and live in the fullness of the Christian faith as well as enjoying outdoor social activities.
On Sunday, July 16th, Their Eminences Mor Clemis Eugene Kaplan, Mor Dionysius John Kawak, Mor Anthimos Jack Yakoub and Mor Andrawos Bahhi celebrated the Holy Liturgy at the conclusion of SYG-USA at St. Ephraim Cathedral in Burbank, California in the presence of Rev. Fr. Gabriel Hanna, deacons and all the SYG participants.
His Eminence Mor Dionysius John Kawak along with all the Youth who have attended from the Eastern Archdiocese to this year’s SYG-USA would like to give a big thank you to His Eminence Mor Clemis Eugene Kaplan, V. Rev. Fr. Gabriel Hanna, and the SYG-USA Committee for welcoming them all with open arms and for preparing such a wonderful, fruitful, and successful gathering.
