On Sunday, September 17, 2023, His Eminence Mor Dionysius John Kawak celebrated the Holy Liturgy at the parish of St. Matthew’s in West Roxbury, Massachusetts, on the occasion of the feast of the discovery of the Holy Cross. In his sermon, he spoke about how this remarkable event is a testament to the power of faith, perseverance, and divine providence.
His Eminence also told the faithful that the story of the Holy Cross begins with the life and Crucifixion of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. He then concluded by wishing them the discovery of the Holy Cross as it may inspire us all to live our lives in the light of Christ’s love, and may it strengthen our faith as we journey through the ups and downs of life, knowing that through the Cross, we find salvation and eternal life.
