On Tuesday, October 17, 2023, His Eminence Mor Dionysius John Kawak accompanied by V. Rev. Fr. Joseph Chamoun attended the Ecumenical Gathering in honor of the newly consecrated Bishop Mesrop Parsamayan, Primate of the Diocese of the Armenian Church (Eastern).
The gathering started with a short prayer in the Cathedral of St. Vartan followed by a banquet in honor of the newly ordained Bishop, where Archbishop Kawak delivered a congratulating message talking about the deep relationship between the two sister Churches the Armenian and Syriac churches. At the end of his message he presented an icon (Engolpion) to the newly ordained Bishop.
