On Friday, October 6, 2023, His Eminence Mor Augeen Nimat Alkass (for the first time after his ordination as a Bishop) celebrated the Holy Liturgy at the Mor Aphrem Chapel in the Mor Aphrem Center in Paramus, New Jersey.
His Holiness Mor Ignatius Aphrem II presided over the Holy Liturgy, and His Eminence Mor Dionysius John Kawak welcomed His Holiness to his home and presented the newly ordained Bishop with a pastoral staff. Bishop Kawak also welcomed the father of His Eminence Mor Augeen, Khouroyo Nimat Alkass along with his wife.
