His Eminence Mor Dionysius John Kawak paid a pastoral visit to Sts. Peter and Paul Parish in Southfield, Michigan from Friday, March 22 to Monday, March 26, 2024. On Saturday evening, he visited the Orthodox Faith Enrichment Program (OFEP) and blessed the attendees. He also interacted with the children by asking them questions. Later that evening, the parish council hosted a Lenten dinner in honor of His Eminence where they discussed Church matters.
On Sunday morning, March 24, 2024, His Eminence Mor Dionysius John Kawak assisted by Rev. Fr. Imad Al-Banna in celebrating the Holy Liturgy. During the Holy Qurobo, His Eminence ordained new Deaconesses (Mzamronyotho). In his sermon, His Eminence shared words of guidance, emphasizing a Deaconess’s vital role in the church community. He also mentioned the dedication required to fulfill the duties of a Deaconess.
