On Saturday, April 27, 2024, His Eminence Mor Dionysius John Kawak, Before the Holy Liturgy, His Eminence Mor Dionysius John Kawak bestowed his blessings upon the newly renovated church, surrounded by the congregation. With reverence they gathered together to witness this occasion. His Eminence congratulated the parish, recognizing their dedication and hard work in bringing this renovation to completion.
He then celebrated the Holy Liturgy assisted by Rev. Fr. Alan Shaltan on the occasion of the blessed Palm Sunday feast at the church of St. Jacob of Urhoy in Orlando, Florida
In his sermon, His Eminence spoke passionately about the importance of Palm Sunday and the act of opening our hearts, just as the people and children laid their clothes and opened their hearts for Jesus on that momentous day. It was a powerful call to embrace humility and welcome the presence of our Lord Jesus Christ into our lives.
A heartwarming procession followed the sermon, with the children and deacons joyously leading the way. As the Holy Liturgy concluded, His Eminence extended his genuine wishes to all families and faithful present, sharing blessings of happiness and grace upon every one of us as we enter into this blessed Palm Sunday feast.
