From Saturday, April 6, to Sunday, April 7, 2024, His Eminence Mor Dionysius John Kawak paid a pastoral visit to St. Mary’s Parish in Shrewsbury, MA. On Saturday evening, His Eminence joined the Youth of the parish for a Q& A session, and he shared insights of the importance role of being an active member as youth. It was a wonderful opportunity for His Eminence to connect with the Youth.
On Sunday morning, His Eminence celebrated the Holy Liturgy, assisted by Abuna Toni Kasih. During this sacred service, His Eminence decorated Abuna Toni the esteemed Pectoral Cross, a gesture of deep appreciation for his faithful service and dedication to the parish.
In his sermon, His Eminence drew and shared inspiration from the story of the Canaanite Woman from the Holy Bible. He explained its relevance to our modern lives, emphasizing the importance of faith, perseverance, and compassion. He reminded the congregation of the profound lessons from this story.
