Suryoyo Family Gathering Day 1: A Spiritually Enriching Start
The first day of the Suryoyo Family Gathering at the Mor Aphrem Center launched Under the Auspices of His Eminence Mor Dionysius John Kawak. The event, filled with spiritual commitment and warmth, began with evening prayers, preparing for a worshipful atmosphere for the days to follow.
His Eminence Mor Dionysius John Kawak extended a heartfelt welcome message, emphasizing the significance of unity and faith within the Suryoyo community. His words encouraged a sense of togetherness among the attendees.
Following the welcome address, the evening unfolded with a beautiful recital conducted by V. Rev. Fr. Joseph Chamoun and the choir. Their harmonious voices and spiritual melodies chanting of our Syriac Orthodox hymns elevated the gathering, creating an atmosphere of devotion and reflection.
Adding to the spiritual richness of the evening, His Eminence Mor Augeen Alkhouri Nimat delivered a message centered around this year’s theme: “Faith and Works” from James 2:26.
