On Wednesday. July 24th, 2024, in the presence of His Eminence Mor Dionysius John Kawak, His Eminence Augeen Alkhouri Nimat, V. Rev. Fr. Joseph Chamoun, and Rev. Fr. Daniel Alkass, V. Rev. Fr. Yacoub Samer Youhanoun celebrated the Holy Liturgy at St. Mark’s Cathedral in Paramus, New Jersey for the Suryoyo Summer Camp that is hosted at the Mor Aphrem Center.
His Eminence Mor Dionysius John Kawak delivered the sermon to the campers about staying connected to Jesus. He asked the campers about the grapevine, what it looks like, and what happens to a branch if it is not connected to the vine. As the children responded to the questions, he then went on by telling them that we stay connected to God by praying, reading the Bible, coming to Church, and loving others. He concluded by reminding them that Jesus is our Vine, and we are His branches.
