On Sunday, October 27, 2024, His Eminence Mor Dionysius John Kawak celebrated the Holy Liturgy at Mor Gabriel Parish in Haworth, New Jersey, assisted by V. Rev. Fr. Joseph Shabo.
In his sermon, he spoke about the importance of forgiving one another. He focused on the Bible reading from Matthew 5:21-26, discussing its meaning and lessons.
Afterward, he spoke to the Sunday School children, asking them questions like : why we receive Holy Communion, how we should behave when receiving it, and how should we behave after receiving Holy Communion.
His Eminence acknowledged the children who had memorized Bible verses and invited a few to recite them.
He then concluded by congratulating the parish of Mor Gabriel on its 10th anniversary, recognizing those who have served, both past and present.
