On Tuesday, October 1, 2024, V. Rev. Fr. Joseph Chamoun, Shamosho Joseph Shammas, and Shamosho Rami Malaab conducted the Shamoshe (Deacon) Training session. The event was well-attended, featuring three groups of participants across various age ranges.
Abuna Joseph kicked off the training by emphasizing the importance of the Shamoshe’s role within the church. He covered topics, including liturgical responsibilities, the significance of service, and the spiritual growth that comes from this calling. The sessions encouraged active participation, allowing the attendees to engage deeply with the Syriac Hymns and chants.
As the program progresses, it promises to equip these future Shamoshe with the skills and knowledge they need to serve effectively.
