On Thursday, October 31st, 2024, the Unified Sunday School of three local churches in New Jersey hosted an All Saints’ Day Eve event for children at the Mor Aphrem Center in Paramus, New Jersey.
His Eminence Mor Dionysius John Kawak visited each station featuring our Syriac Orthodox Saints. He asked the children questions about the saints, such as who they were and how they became saints.
The event included many fun stations with games like guessing the saints and a matching game.
There was also a prayer table for lighting candles and saying prayers, as well as crafts related to the saints and writing prayers for them to pray for us.
The Saint Stations featured included:
* Virgin Mary
* Saint John the Baptist
* Saint Stephen
* St. Helena
* Mor Gabriel
* Mor Barsawmo
* Saint Peter
* Mor Ephrem Suryoyo
* Saint Mark
The children enjoyed various crafts, games with prizes, and candy.

As we celebrate All Saints’ Day, let us remember 1 Thessalonians 5:11: “Therefore comfort each other and edify one another, just as you also are doing..”
