On Monday, November 18, 2024, His Eminence Mor Dionysius John Kawak, Co-Chair of the Oriental Orthodox and Roman Catholic Dialogue, participated in a significant virtual meeting held via Zoom. This meeting was part of the ongoing efforts to deepen the relationship and understanding between the Oriental Orthodox and Roman Catholic Churches. Joining His Eminence in the meeting were V. Rev. Fr. Joseph Chamoun and Deacon George Kiraz. In the meeting, they discussed the following topic: The Bishop of Rome: Primacy and Synodality in Ecumenical Dialogues and its companion proposal, Towards an Exercise of Primacy in the 21st Century. The meeting concluded with a prayer, seeking Divine guidance and blessings for continued progress in fostering unity and harmony between the Oriental Orthodox and Roman Catholic Churches, ensuring the fruitful continuation of their ecumenical journey.
