On Saturday, December 14th, 2024, the Educational Programs Committee of the Archdiocese of the Syriac Orthodox Church for the Eastern US hosted their annual Breakfast with Sayidna and Santa. During this special event, they collected toys for children in need.
The day started at St. Mark’s Cathedral, where the children watched a video about St. Nicholas (Mor Zokhe). After the video, His Eminence Mor Dionysius John Kawak spoke to the children about St. Nicholas. He asked the children questions about the Saint and reminded them how he was a great example of being a servant to God.
After the talk, everyone enjoyed a special breakfast. His Eminence went around to take photos with all the children. The children also took photos with St. Nicholas to remember this special day.
