On Sunday, May 11, 2025, His Eminence Mor Dionysius John Kawak celebrated the Holy Liturgy at the Church of the Virgin Mary in Paramus, NJ on Mother’s Day, assisted by Rev. Fr. Gabriel Alkass. In his sermon, he reflected on John 4:34, reminding the faithful that our true strength comes from doing the will of God. He honored all mothers for their daily sacrifices, calling them living examples of Christ’s self-giving love. His Eminence along with the Parish Council of the parish also offered a special congratulations to Chief Yakup Zoklu by gifting him two plaques for his historic appointment as the first Suryoyo Chief of Police, recognizing his dedication, integrity, and service to the community. The day then followed to the Social Hall by honoring all the mothers for Mother’s Day.
