His Eminence Mor Dionysius John Kawak (New Jersey), and Dr. Theodora Issa (Australia), representatives of our Syriac Orthodox Church at the Central Committee attended the World Council of Churches Central Committee’s Meeting in Switzerland via Zoom February 9–15, 2022.The Central Committee serves as the chief governing body of the WCC and is responsible for carrying out the policies adopted by the Assembly, reviewing and supervising WCC programs and the budget of the Council. This current Zoom meeting was in order to prepare for the upcoming 11th General Assembly which going to be held in Karlsruhe, Germany, 31 August – 8 September 2022.
