Christ Has Risen from Among the Dead! On Sunday, April 16, 2023, His Eminence Mor Dionysius John Kawak celebrated the Resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ on Easter Sunday at St. Mark’s Cathedral in Paramus, NJ, assisted by Very Rev. Fr. Joseph Chamoun the Parish Priest of the Cathedral.
During the sermon, His Eminence spoke about the importance of the stone that sealed the Tomb of our Lord and what it means for all of us in our daily life. He raised a question to the faithful by asking them “do we have stones that prevent us from witnessing our Risen Lord and stones that are stuck at the entrance of our hearts?” Examples given were stones of fear, stones of anger or stones of discouragement.
His Eminence encouraged them by reminding them to roll away their own stones that prevent us from meeting our Risen Lord Himself.
After the Holy Liturgy, He blessed the congregation and wished them all a blessed Resurrection Day.
