On Christmas morning, Monday, December 25, 2023, Holy Liturgy was celebrated by His Eminence Mor Dionysius John Kawak assisted by V. Rev. Fr. Joseph Chamoun.
In his sermon he first congratulated His Holiness our beloved Patriarch Mor Ignatius Aphrem II, with all the brother Archbishops of the Syriac Orthodox Church of Antioch, along with all the clergy, organizations of our esteemed Archdiocese.
He then told the faithful that “without the birth of our Lord Jesus Christ the beacon of hope and salvation that lit up the skies of Bethlehem would be absent.” He went on by saying that we take Him for granted, while He blesses us and without His examples of unconditional love, forgiveness, and compassion one should then consider the void in our personal lives, and our society.
