Holy Liturgy Celebration at the Parish of the Virgin Mary in Paramus, New Jersey

15 Apr

On Sunday, April 14, 2024 His Eminence Mor Dionysius John Kawak celebrated the Holy Liturgy assisted by V. Rev. Fr. Aziz Hadodo at the Parish of the Virgin Mary in Paramus, New Jersey.

In his sermon, he spoke about the day’s reading about the Parable of the Good Samaritan. He explained to the faithful how this parable speaks directly to our

hearts today and it calls us to expand our understanding of who our neighbor is. His Eminence reminded them that The Good Samaritan exemplifies the love and compassion that Christ calls us to show to one another, caring for the wounded, reaching out to the marginalized, and crossing societal boundaries to show love.

He concluded by recognizing one of the deep traditions of the Ladies Aid for 115 years, that they have proven that volunteerism is much more than good food, which is why fellowship exists in the church. This group has served this parish with dedication, integrity, and tireless devotion to our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
