Nahire Service 2024 at St. Mark’s Cathedral, Paramus, New Jersey

On Sunday Evening April 28th, 2024, His Eminence Mor Dionysius John Kawak celebrated the Nahireh service assisted by V. Rev. Fr. Joseph Chamoun, at St. Mark’s Cathedral in Paramus, New Jersey which marks the beginning of the Holy Week with the Parable of the Ten Virgins.

In his sermon, His Eminence spoke about the Parable of the Ten Virgins, guiding the faithful to always keep in mind the deep message it holds for our lives. He emphasized the importance of readiness, urging us to fill our lamps with the oil of good deeds, ensuring our souls are prepared for the eternal light of God’s presence.
