Visit to Archdiocese of Central America

26 Nov

On assignment of His Holiness Patriarch Mor Ignatius Aphrem II, His Eminence Mor Dionysius John Kawak visited the Archdiocese of Central America from November 23 to 25.

During the visit, His Eminence celebrated the Divine Liturgy on the occasion of the Sunday of the Annunciation of the Virgin Mary for a new established Syriac Orthodox parish.

In his sermon, His Eminence conveyed the blessings and joy of His Holiness on this beautiful occasion of the establishment of this new parish. He spoke about the Virgin Mary as the New Jerusalem, emphasizing her virtues, especially her obedience to God’s call through the Archangel Gabriel. His Eminence encouraged the members of the newly established parish to focus on raising their children according to our Syriac Christian principles.

Additionally, His Eminence visited Archbishop Mor Eduardo Edwardo, the shepherd of the Archdiocese, expressing gratitude for his care and dedication in serving the faithful of the Archdiocese, wherever they may be and wherever they come from.
