A Special Visit to His Eminence Mor Dionysius John Kawak
On Tuesday, January 14, 2025, the Youth from our three local parishes in New Jersey came together for a special Christmas visit to His Eminence Mor Dionysius John Kawak. Accompanying the Youth were V. Rev. Fr. Joseph Shabo and V. Rev. Fr. Joseph Chamoun, who joined the occasion. The evening started with everyone chanting Abun D’Bashmayo (Our Lord’s Prayer) together. His Eminence then warmly welcomed the Youth and clergy and spoke about something very important: remembering the spirit of Christmas every day by being kind to the poor, helping the sick, and caring for others and added about the New Year’s resolution should be being closer to God.
Following his heartfelt message, His Eminence invited the Youth presidents to share their reflections on past events and their plans for the future. He expressed how wonderful it was to hear about the great things the Youth have accomplished and their exciting goals ahead. The evening concluded with soft refreshments, group photos, and a spirit of joy and togetherness.
We feel truly blessed and happy to witness our amazing Youth coming together each year for this special visit. His Eminence treasures seeing everyone united in love and faith. He extended his heartfelt gratitude to the Youth for their support and love and for making this gathering so meaningful every year. He shared a touching sentiment: “I have had many visits, but this one is the dearest to my heart.”
