On Tuesday, April 22, 2025, the Youth of our three local parishes of New Jersey paid their felicitation Easter visit to His Eminence Mor Dionysius John Kawak along with their Parish Priests. His Eminence warmly welcomed everyone and began with a prayer. He then spoke to the youth about the true meaning of the Resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ and why it is so important. His Eminence explained that the old man is Adam, who sinned in paradise, but the new Adam is Jesus Christ, who died for us and gave us new life. He reminded the youth that in Syriac, we call Etho Rabo the “Great Feast of the Resurrection” because of this powerful truth.
His Eminence wished all the youth success in their lives and studies and encouraged them to always stay active in the Church. He told them how happy and blessed he felt to see them present and hoped to see them even more involved in serving, attending, and participating in every Church activity.
Afterward, each clergy member shared a short, encouraging message with the youth. Then, each Youth Leader President took a moment to speak about the activities that have been done and what exciting plans are ahead. The evening ended with beautiful Easter hymns, refreshments, and group photos with each parish and their clergy.
