On Tuesday, June 17, 2025, under the auspices of His Eminence Archbishop Mor Dionysius John Kawak, the Archdiocese Youth Ministry hosted Lilyan Andrews who gave a lecture titled “Preparing for Marriage” in the presence of V. Rev. Fr. Saliba Er and Rev. Fr. Joseph Shammas, also present was Rev. Fr. Anthony Andrews of the Coptic Orthodox Church.
The event was held for youth ages 18-30 and aimed to address a lot of social concerns they have as they begin to approach marriage. The evening began with a lecture by Lilyan, followed by a workshop where the Youth discussed a relative scenario and how they would approach resolving the scenario based on their faith, experiences and what they learned during the lecture. After which the Youth engaged in an open Q&A conversation with Lilyan and the clergy.
The evening concluded with a prayer for the Youth, their spiritual journey, and in a clearer understanding of God’s will in their life as it relates to marriage.
