From Tuesday, February 10th to Friday, February 13th, 2026, under the Auspices of His Eminence Mor Dionysius John Kawak, the Annual Archdiocesan Clergy Retreat was hosted at the Mor Aphrem Center in Paramus, New Jersey. The retreat began with the clergy gathering at the Mor Aphrem Center and opening in prayer. Each day included Morning and Evening Prayer, keeping Christ at the center of all that was shared and learned.
His Eminence Mor Dionysius John Kawak led the first session titled “The Good Shepherd,” reminding the clergy of their calling to serve with love, care, and responsibility. Fr. Imad presented two important sessions: “Facilitation: Enhancing Professional Problem-Solving Skills” and “Pastoral Mediation: An Innovative Practice,” giving practical guidance on handling challenges wisely and peacefully within our parishes. Fr. Luke Estafanous led three meaningful sessions: “Jesus as a Counselor,” “Mental Health Awareness,” and “Fleeing the Tornado of Addiction,” focusing on caring for the spiritual and emotional needs of our faithful, especially in today’s world.
The evenings included spiritual talks by Raban Saliba and Fr. Alan, along with open discussions that allowed the clergy to reflect, ask questions, and grow together in unity. The retreat concluded with a unified Holy Liturgy and an agape meal shared with the faithful who attended. We also truly thank Mor Aphrem Ladies, St. Mark’s Ladies Auxiliary, Virgin Mary Ladies Auxiliary, and Mor Gabriel Ladies Auxiliary for preparing the meals during these days. We truly appreciate their time, effort, and love. Grateful for these days of prayer, learning, and brotherhood as our clergy continue serving the Church with renewed strength and focus
