On Monday, December 2nd, 2024, the children of God’s Children Academy Pre-School presented a special Christmas Nativity Play at St. Mark’s Cathedral in Paramus, New Jersey. His Eminence Mor Dionysius John Kawak was there to enjoy the show with the parents and families. The children sang beautiful hymns in both Syriac and English, sharing the joy of Christmas with everyone. At the end of the play, His Eminence thanked everyone who worked hard to make the play so wonderful. He also blessed the children and their families, wishing them all a Merry Christmas and a Happy, Healthy New Year.
Here is part of the speech His Eminence shared with the families:
Dear Parents, Teachers, and Beloved Children,
It gives me great joy to stand before you today and witness the beautiful fruits of our pre-school’s hard work and dedication. What we have seen today is a true testament to the effort and commitment of our school’s administration, our wonderful teachers, and, of course, our talented children. Our school is not just a place for learning; it is a home where children grow in the light of Christ. As a Christian school, we strive to instill in our children the love of God, the Church, and one another. Through prayer, hymns, and spiritual teachings, we are planting seeds of faith in their hearts, which we trust will flourish as they grow. At the same time, we are proud of our Syriac heritage, and we are committed to teaching our children the prayers, hymns, and traditions that connect them to their roots and strengthen their spiritual identity. Day by day, our school continues to grow and develop, thanks to the dedication of our staff and the support of you, the parents. Together, we are building a strong foundation for the future of our children, one rooted in faith, love, and knowledge.
May God bless each and every one of you, and may He continue to guide and strengthen our school for the glory of His Holy Name.
Merry Christmas in advance.
Thank you!
