On Friday, April 25, 2025, His Eminence Archbishop Dionysius John Kawak participated in the joint meeting of the Standing Conference of Oriental Orthodox Churches (SCOOCh) and the Assembly of Canonical Orthodox Bishops of the USA, held at St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church and National Shrine on Friday, April 25, 2025.
The meeting brought together hierarchs from both the Oriental Orthodox and Eastern Orthodox families. They engaged in discussions regarding vital topics such as Youth Ministry, Clergy Education, and the current challenges facing the Church in today’s world. At the conclusion of the gathering, the participants agreed upon and issued a Joint Communiqué, which will be posted later.
