On the evening of Tuesday, October 7, 2025, our Youth Bible Study, led by His Eminence Mor Dionysius John Kawak, gathered around the theme “Being Born Again. After the opening prayer His Eminence focused on the two passages from John 3:1–8 and Romans 6:3–11 to learn that being “born from above” is God’s gift given through Baptism and the Holy Spirit (John 3:5; Titus 3:5), uniting us to Christ so that the font becomes both tomb and womb, and we “walk in newness of life” (Rom. 6:4, 11);
He emphasized a simple daily response know what Christ has done for you, reckon yourself dead to sin and alive to God, and present your thoughts, words, and actions to the Lord (Rom. 6:9–13) and invited practical steps of daily prayer and Scripture, regular Confession, faithful participation in the Eucharist, works of mercy, and seeking the fruit of the Spirit (Gal. 5:22–23), while the youth completed an “Old Self / New Life” card, naming one habit to leave behind and one holy practice to begin this week, committing together to live as God’s newborn children.
