On Thursday, October 9, 2025, His Eminence Mor Dionysius John Kawak accompanied by V. Rev. Fr. Joseph Chamoun, and V. Rev. Fr. Saliba Er attended the meeting of the Standing Conference of Oriental Orthodox Churches (SCOOCh) at the Malankara Archdiocese in Old Tappan, New Jersey hosted by His Eminence Mor Titus Yeldho, Archbishop of the Malankara Archdiocese of The Syriac Orthodox Church in North America. During the meeting, they discussed a number of pressing matters. The meeting featured in-depth discussions on the ongoing dialogue between the Oriental and Eastern Orthodox Churches in America, reflecting the commitment of the prelates to advancing unity and collaboration.

The conversations were insightful, highlighting the shared mission and goals of the Churches involved. The purpose of the SCOOCh gatherings is to strengthen cooperation among the Oriental Orthodox jurisdictions, to share updates, and to work together on matters of faith, pastoral care, and service in North America. After the meeting, the attendees gathered for an agape meal, concluding the day in fellowship and brotherly love.
